The word “benefit” (en nef) is used 50 times in the Quran with all its derivatives. The same is true for the word “corrupt” (fesad), that is, it and its derivatives are used 50 times as well. Corruption (fesad) is a social evil and condemned by the Quran. A person can not benefit (en nef) from corruption (fesad). The result of corruption is the opposite of benefit. The use of these two words with negative meanings being in equal number can not be a coincidence. This may be witnessed in the following verses:
55- And remind, for the reminder benefits the believers
51. The Dispersing, 55
26- Who corrupt the land and do not reform it.
26. The Poets, 152
